No. I suppose they are all the same. Have you tried all options. Have you spoken to all of your creditors first letting them know the position that your in. Have you asked them for options. Bankruptcy is the last thing you should do and only when all avenues have been exhausted. You might find you will be sorry for going bankrupt. Have you tried everything? My profile under debt has more.
*****I can only answer this for chapter 13******
Usually watever lawyer you go to willn only charge youb a downpayment. Their fee comes out of the payments ou make for the next three to five years ( if you are filing ch13) therefore there is no need to worry. Make sure they are board certified. BK is nt as bad as people think. I filed(ch13) almost 4 years ago,I was discharged in March and my credit scores areabove 650 and I have gotten all kinds of credit. Rebuilding starts the miniute after you file, even if its what you alread owe but are not putting in BK. The key is to leanr to manage your money and credit. Get our advice from professionals…not people who think they know.
In Baltimore/DC, a chapter 7 bankruptcy costs anywhere from $600 to $1,100 – a chapter 13 bankruptcy will cost a few hundred more.
will give you a list of bankruptcy attorneys for your part of the USA. Call a couple of them for a free consultation / best rate.
The cheapest option is pro se – where you do everything by yourself without an attorney. This may be applicable if your income is low and you have few assets – you need to know the bankruptcy exemptions for your state.
