A tax attorney is not what you’d need in this case. If you want to fix up your back taxes, you can go to a tax preparer, or visit a tax prep website that specializes in back taxes.

You do not need a tax lawyer. You need a tax professional. Find an enrolled agent.

You likely would find that a tax professional will get the job done as well for a great deal less. Make sure that the tax professional routinely deals with such issues.
You can owe back taxes without an attorney’s help. Resolving the account is a different matter. What exactly are you trying to do?
