I would not hire a cheap lawyer would it be for immigration or other issues. You get what you pay for, and would you not hate to lose your case because you hired on the cheap

Also, most immigration lawyers would charge a "fixed" legal fee, meaning that their fee depends not on the number of hours they worked on your case, but on the type of the services requested/specifics of your case. It makes it easier for the clients because you know the exact amount you have to pay, so there is no surprise later on.
