The University of Iowa only offers a certificate in international business, so I will be taking that as well as doing a major in Econ. Along w/ international business comes international relations, foreign language and such. This is also all covered in International Studies. Should I just go ahead and major/minor in International Studies because I’ll be doing it anyways? Or is it prescription drugs worthless cuz I’m doing it anyways?

If you’re doing most of the work anyway, it NEVER hurts to get the ol’ stamp for the diploma, especially if you’re planning on going into a field as competitive as law.
I would also strongly recommend picking an area of specialty, such as Europe, Asia, Latin America, etc, and studying abroad (possibly trying to get an internship while you’re there if you’re really driven).
Talk to your guidance counselor but I bet you could major in econ and just do a pre-law track, which just makes sure you have all the prerequisite classes needed to get into law school, but if you are interested in internaitional relations I bet they would have a few of those classes in your pre-law track so you could get familiar with the subject without having to actually major in it b/c double majoring is pretty tough.
