Weeks after my high school senior year started, I finally chose a career: law.My dad even wants me to become a attorney slash businessman, so no one would mess around with me when I manage our business. But my problem buy prescription drugs without a prescription is, how can I manage my business if I didn’t learn about business in college because I chose law?And also, I’ve heard that there are too many lawyers here in the Philippines. So how can I benefit my career as a lawyer, other than being in the business world?

Law school is the best preparation for business management. You will learn about business forms, business-related law, and negotiation skills. You will learn many skills that you can apply in business.
The technical matters of operating a business, accounting, finance, management, you can learn in your undergraduate work. Take your undergraduate degree in history, with a minor in business management and you will have all the business-related knowledge you need. What is most crucial is that you learn a system of skills (including analytical and communication skills) and about human behavior.
A law degree can help you be a more effective businessman. And the mental discipline is great training for anything you choose to do in life. However, a law degree is a heck of a lot of extra education to pay for and work through. Also, if your Dad wants you to follow him into the family business, this is a risk for him — if you get a law degree, you’ll have plenty of other lucrative options!
there are things such as Corporate Attorneys. Attorneys that practice for corporations as thier clients in both litigation and defense. There are many intricacies to law (at least here in the U.S.) and the opportunities and choices in law are endless. You think of it, there’s a lawyer for it. Depends on where you want to practice, and what you want to practice. We have a real estate attorney friend who does nothing but commercial real estate (companies that try to buy properties etc are his clients). Being an Attorney is competitive, and requires a lot of hard work, long hours, and determination to build a practice. Always remember the larger the firm, the more money, the more they wine and dine you, and best of all, the longer and harder you’re going to work. It’s very competitive out there and your first couple of years could be VERY bruital. This is when you’re starting out learning the ropes and trying to build a book of (portable) business EARLY! This is going to be the key to your success. Portable business (business/clients that will follow you no matter what law firm you go to, YOUR clients, not the firms, or your Partners clients, YOURS!) is what’s going to get your foot in the door to partnership. Hope this gives you some insight to attorney world.
If you are a lawyer your credible. every business is covered by laws and regulations thats were u come in. you dont have to be a businessman or study one to learn the trick…business is common sense.
if your a lawyer u become 1 step higher than a busnessman.
