You’re probably right that I would care less if she wasn’t nihonjin. But no – my argument would be dishonest if I was related to her. I just see a very helpless and (somewhat) mentally weak person being controlled, intimidated, and even beaten by her lunatic husband. I see an “on-air” personality, which so disgusts people, that is (1) contradicted by every interview mentioning her, and (2) absolutely absurd given her background. And now she’s facing jail time and losing her children.

Do you have some reason to hate Mayu? Not accusing you of being a nationalist from some certain country. Also, Manson was the founder and leader of a cult. Mayu is a victim in this case, and someone who is very likely under physical/verbal coercion. She does not act similarly in private or away from Richard. She stays in the kitchen during family dinners or when guests arrive.
Remember also that Miyuki (Prime Minister Hatoyama’s wife) believes she was abducted by aliens and taken to Venus. Even if Mayu had such strange beliefs, it is weird (maybe cute?), but certainly not damning.
How do you know what she does in private and whether she stays in the kitchen during dinner????? You either have to be a relative, friend or are off your friggin gourd. Why not just tell us how you supposedly know so much about her private life instead of being so coy about it?

All of what I say is public information – from Japanese language interviews of people who know Mayu Iizuka, to interviews of people who were formerly employed or worked with Richard Heene – Matt Wineroth, Barbra Slusser, etc. My comment about her staying in the kitchen was from ABC’s story on her (easily found on Google).

something tells me mayumi is overshadowed by her sleazeball husband. i think he takes her for granted; for one thing, she busts her ass for him, while he… fiddles around with his space toys? some partnership. also, he’s got a very domineering personality, which makes me suspect that the whole mess was his idea, and he coerced her into going along with it. i feel sorry for mayumi.
I believe if u feel like this issue is small then after few months u will see more people who wants publicity will do the same thing. if this heene family get punishment than we can stop a lot of more Hoax……………………if u take it easy than it means u r giving an other chance for next crime.
actually, Mayumi is an ideal wife, one who is completely submissive and will do anything to support her man, it’s just unfortunate she fell into the trap of the wrong man. She truly deserves a better man.
