This is a Test/Demo after a game at Waynes World paintball in Ocala FL. There were poles spaced every 20 ft so it was easy to measure how far it would shoot. Fired 2 shoots both max Buy Ampicillin distance was about 220 feet! www.houndsofhellpaintball.com for plans.

I’d be carefull of a full PVC design, i’ve just read several articles where homemade PVC law rockets have exploded due the the pressure. best to go with a Metal expansion chamber with some sort of pressure relief valve as well.
is it legal at any paintball fields to launch paint grenades out of one of these? i wonder if that would work.

No. If you are playing in a big game with tanks, most fields will let you use it with a nerf ball to take out the tank but not against personell. Also a paint grenade can cause serious dammage to a person at that speed.
