What is the difference between a prosecution lawyer and a defense lawyer?

I want to translate these two terms into Persian and i should buy prescription drugs on line know the differences.
One tries to put a woman in prison for showing her face, and the other tries to keep her out of prison by saying to the judge things like "Can we all just get out of the cave and come into reality now?"
One prosecutes. The other defends.
1st one for the person who file the case other for the opposite
A prosecuter tries to get people in prison. A defense attorney tries to keep them out of prison.
