Which career do you think would be better to choose a tax lawyer or an accountant?

I also wanted to know how are the two Viagra careers related and different? I would prefer somebody who has been in both fields but all answers are encouraged.
If you like the money and can handle the stress go for the lawyer job first. You will need to stay in school a lot longer, too. An accountant still has to know his stuff but is not in the same league both in abilities, stress and education levels.
You could be going to school to become a tax lawyer and working on the side as an accountant. After all you need the practice of burning the candle from both ends to make a highly successful attorney.
Both are boring. become a lion tamer.
Accountant because you can get a job anywhere in the country.

accountant needs to be CPA to make decent salary, but still will not make what the attorney makes
My wife is just graduating with an accounting degree, and she is trying to encourage me to go to law school (I won’t, I teach high school – which is good for me!)
Both work hard, lawyer gets paid more. Accountants are pretty much a dime a dozen, you really have to settle for entry level work for 2 or 3 years before there is potential for advancement. A friend of ours is a CPA, and he gets really frustrated, because he has to work so many hours, and he doesn’t get fairly compensated (although I’m sure he makes 10 or 20K more than me).
This is what I could suggest: get your undergrad in Accounting, and then go to law school. Then you could have your pick on what to do!!
Both are good fields, but I know a tax attorney who couldn’t get a job after he turned 50. Law firms are funny like that. You won’t have the same problem as an accountant.
