Why did Obama appoint the defense Lawyer for Johnny Taliban to the Justice department & ban Enemy Combatant?

as a charge against the terrorist we have captured?Obama thinks he is banning the phrase Bush used when in fact it is an actual Military Charge he is dropping that pertains to terrorist that are caught in the field of war.He also said that the US must have Substantial proof that these terrorist are linked to Al Quieda. All I know is that this BS is really getting on my nerves. I’ll be honest here. I haven’t seen him do anything that I’d call patriotic since he was elected. I’m starting to wonder who’s side he’s on.

A couple more things to consider:
(1) It was Bush who brought about the release of some of the Gitmo detainees because his own ILLEGAL policies ensured that a case could not be made that would hold up in court. It has been the ILLEGAL practices of extraordinary rendition, unlawful detainment and torture that have circumvented and prevented justice. Those same "enhanced" policies have also served to "enhance" radicalization and recruitment for the terrorist cause. The legal process is derailed when illegal practices are used. Only when the illegal practices are halted can they be legally prosecuted and we can go back to being what we say we are… a nation that is built on, and abides by, the Rule of Law.
